Cerritos College Cross Country (2012): Led the team to a sixth place finish at the State Championships with a time of 19:21.21, while her 19th place finish at the Southern California Championships in 19:32.67 helped the team come in fourth place… Was the South Coast Conference individual champion with a time of 20:14.78 and helped the team win the title… Placed seventh at the Mt. San Antonio Invitational in 18:52, while she was 10th overall in 19:07.4 at the Grand Canyon Invitational… Finished in third place at the Lou Vasquez Invitational with a time of 18:57.90 and came in fourth place overall at the Coast Classic Invitational with a time of 19:17.90… Ran the Mark Covert Classic in 20:19.6 to come in 48th place…..

ECC Compton Center Cross Country (2011): Qualified for the State Championships in cross country and placed 55th overall with a time of 19:47.72... Came in 14th place at the South Coast Conference Championships with a clocking of 20:00.00…..

Warren HS: Earned her team’s Sportsmanship Award as a senior and their Most Improved Runner her junior season… Also received the Woodbridge Invitational Most Improved Runner as a junior after improving her time from the year before by six minutes… Posted a personal best time of 18:36… Helped the team win he San Gabriel Valley League championship two years in a row, while they came in fourth place in the state her junior season… Was coached by Cerritos assistant coach Daniel Ozan… Spent three years on the cross country and track and field teams… Specialized in the 1600 meters (5:03) and 3200 meters (12:06)…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was posting her personal best cross country time at the Hollydale Invitational as well as becoming the team captain… Is working on a minor in kinesiology… Aspires to be a clinical psychiatrist… Hobbies include dancing and spending time with friends… Nicknamed “Kari”… Has three siblings – Erika (22), Alejandro (13) and Rebeca (8)… Is the daughter of Aristeo and Teresa Sanchez… Born in Torrance, CA on June 26, 1993…..
